This exciting 4 day itinerary offers a sampling of all that is Atlanta.

Day 1
  • Georgia's Aquarium Student Travel Tour
    Spend the afternoon at Atlanta's walkable ring of attractions, anchored by Centennial Olympic Park. The behind-the-scenes student tour at the Georgia Aquarium, the world's largest aquarium, engages students through interactive games and exhibits.
  • New World of Coca-Cola
    A few steps away is the New World of Coca-Cola, where students can sample 70 Coca-Cola products from around the world.
  • CNN
    Also in the Centennial Olympic Park district is the global headquarters of CNN, and students can take an inside CNN Tour.
  • Hard Rock Cafe
    Have dinner at Atlanta's Hard Rock Cafe, packed with memorabilia from rock legends with roots south of the Mason-Dixon line.

Day 2
  • Sweet Auburn Historic District
    Start the day in the Sweet Auburn Historic District, a cradle for the civil rights movement and home to the four-block Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site. The historic site includes a visitor's center depicting the story of King and the civil rights movement; Dr. King's and Coretta Scott King's graves; Dr. King's birth home; Ebenezer Baptist Church; and the International Civil Rights Walk of Fame.
  • Jimmy Carter Library and Museum
    Nearby is the Jimmy Carter Library and Museum, which honors the life and administration of President Carter through films, displays, and a re-creation of the Oval Office.
  • Fernbank Museum of Natural History
    Student groups will be welcomed to Fernbank Museum of Natural History, Atlanta’s home to dinosaurs! Come face to face with the world’s largest dinosaurs, discover Georgia’s natural history, make a cultural connection, enjoy hands-on exhibitions and more! And don’t miss special exhibitions or the incredible 5-story experience of an IMAX film.
  • Lunch and Touring
    For lunch, dine on the rooftop deck of Six Feet Under, a pub and fish house that overlooks historic Oakland Cemetery. Down the road, view the world's largest diorama painting that depicts the 1864 Civil War Battle of Atlanta and don't forget to stop next door at Zoo Atlanta to see a rare set of western lowland gorilla twins.
  • Atlanta Braves Baseball Game
    Atlanta is home to six major sports teams, including the Atlanta Braves. Catch the professional baseball team in action at Turner Field.

Day 3
  • Stone Mountain Park
    Travel to Stone Mountain Park to see the world's largest exposed mass of granite emblazoned with the Confederate Memorial Carving that includes the faces of Confederate heroes Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, and Jefferson Davis.
  • Atlanta History Center
    Enjoy lunch in Buckhead at ESPN Zone. A couple of blocks away is the Atlanta History Center, which features a large collection of Civil War artifacts. The interactive guided tours give students groups the opportunity to handle historic objects from the museum's special education collection in addition to visiting the award-winning exhibitions, historic houses, and gardens.
  • Margaret Mitchell House and Museum
    Head south on Peachtree Street for a visit to the Margaret Mitchell House and Museum. The tour starts in the Visitors Center with Before Scarlett: Girlhood Writings of Margaret Mitchell, 1907-1918, and continues in the house, through her apartment where she wrote Gone With the Wind, and finally to the Gone With the Wind Movie Museum.
  • High Museum of Art
    Home to Louvre Atlanta through September 2009.
  • Dinner and a Show
    Experience traditional Southern cooking at Mary Mac's Tea Room and then see a show at the Fabulous Fox Theatre. The stage at the Fox is home to the Atlanta Ballet and is a primary venue for Broadway productions and musical performances.

Day 4
  • Six Flags over Georgia
    End your Atlanta student travel experience at Six Flags Over Georgia, featuring heart-pounding rides and thrilling attractions, including the Georgia Scorcher, one of the Southeast's tallest and fastest stand-up coasters.
