During your student tour to Chicago, there may be individuals in the group who are searching for the right college to attend. If so, the team should visit Columbia College. You can take a campus tour and meet current students. The tours are for pupils in 10-12th grade. There are tours that are offered for those interested in a specific field of study.
The campus tours are both interesting and informative. Participants can take department tours in areas such as Advertising, Audio Arts and Acoustics, Cinema Art Science, Dance, Interactive Arts Media, Journalism, Radio, and Television. These programs are for a maximum number of 30 pupils. During the tour of the Dance Department, participants will have the opportunity to see several areas and learn about the requirements of the major. You will see places such as the state-of-the-art dance center, the dance video library, the sound recording and media labs, and the professional performance space that was built with dancers in mind.
Pupils who may be interested in the Interactive Arts Major can learn about several different concentrations offered. There are concentrations such as Game Programming, Interactive Arts and Media, and Mobile Media. Individuals can also major in areas such as education, acting, art therapy, digital production, editing, fashion design, and graphic design.
The group can also attend an information session during the visit. During the presentation, the admissions staff will answer questions about the application process. The sessions are 90 minutes long. You will learn about financial aid, the application process, and other requirements.
