During your student group tour to Chicago, you may want to explore Grant Park. The pupils can visit various attractions and participate in outdoor activities.
The team will enjoy fun attractions. You will find places such as the Museum Campus, Millennium Park, Maggie Daily Park, the Art Institute of Chicago, Congress Plaza, and the Buckingham Fountain. The Buckingham Fountain is the central landmark at the park. It is known to be one of the largest fountains. It was dedicated in 1927 as a gift to the city from Kate Sterges in memory of her brother named Clarence. There are water displays which run every 20 minutes and a light and water display that happens after dark. Museum Campus is located on the Southeastern end of the park and consists of 57 acres of land. The campus has three museums that are dedicated to the natural sciences which include the Adler Planetarium, the Field Museum of Natural History and the Shedd Aquarium. The Adler Planetarium has interactive exhibits and live sky shows for the pupils to enjoy.
The Art Institute of Chicago was constructed in 1893. It is one of the premier art museums and art schools in the United States. The museum is known for its extensive collection of Impressionist and American Art. The team will find works such as A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte, and Grand Wood’s American Gothic. Grant Park contains other facilities for pupils to visit such as the Grant Park – Chicago Trolley and Double Decker Company, Grant Park – Juicy Jays, Grant Park – Kilwin’s Chocolate, and the Grant Park Prairie Café.
