Willis Tower

While your student group is in Chicago, you should treat the pupils to amazing views by visiting Willis Tower. The group can see the city streets and four states perched on a ledge which offers visitors a thrill like no other. The ledge is on the 103rd floor and is 1,353 feet high. The team will also have the opportunity to play a Chicago trivia game, dine, shop, and be entertained with interactive touch screen activities and exhibits. Participants can also have a souvenir photo standing next to the 103 sculpture.

The team will be entertained as you compare heights with the tallest structures in the world. The pupils can also see how many of them it would take to measure up to the height of the tower. The Skydeck Theater shows a film, which is known as Reaching for the Sky. The program is nine minutes long. You will hear the story of Chicago’s rise in the architectural world. Your group will learn how the tower went from being a dream to becoming a world icon.

The Ledge offers views from different angles. As the pupils look to the east, they see places such as Lake Michigan, Millennium Park, Grant Park, the Shedd Aquarium, and the Adler Planetarium. As participants look to the north, you will see locations such as the Chicago River, the Lincoln Park Zoo, and the world-class famous Wrigley Field. When you look to the west, the team will see areas such as the United Center, Harpo Studios, and the University of Illinois Chicago. If you peer south, pupils will see areas such as the Field Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry.
