Island Hopper Seven Day Tour

If you are going to go, you might as well see it all! This 7 day tour takes you to four of the Hawaiian islands!

Day 1

  • hawaii-palmHonolulu – Upon arrival at Honolulu International Airport, you will be greeted with a traditional fresh flower lei and met by your motor coach driver after you pick up your luggage.
  • Polynesian Cultural Center – Head to the island’s north shore where you will enjoy a dinner buffet and the fabulous stage show, “Horizons.”

Day 2

  • Pearl Harbor – Pearl Harbor, named for the pearl oysters once harvested there, is the largest natural harbor in Hawaii. The devastating aerial attack on Pearl Harbor resulted in 2,390 dead and hundreds wounded, and drove the United States into World War II. Pearl Harbor honors this history-changing event.
  • USS Arizona Memorial  – An impressive memorial to the men still entombed in the sunken battleship that was hit by a bomb. The explosion that resulted sank this massive battleship in nine minutes, killing 1,177 crewmen. Begin at the Visitor Center where you can view a film about the attack and view plaques honoring lives lost on that fateful day. You’ll then take a boat shuttle to the USS Arizona Memorial, a floating memorial built over the sunken hull of the Battleship USS Arizona, the final resting place for many of the ship’s crew. In the shrine room, a marble wall exhibits the names of the men who lost their lives on the Arizona.
  • Guided Local Tour – This afternoon you will visit Punchbowl National Cemetery, Honolulu Lookout, Chinatown, Iolani Palace and Kamehameha’s Statue. The rest of your afternoon is free for time on the beach.
  • Sunset Dinner Cruise – Say good-bye to the shores of Waikiki on your sunset dinner cruise.

Day 3

  • Kauai – This morning you will take a short morning flight to the “Garden Isle” of Kauai.
  • Guided Driving Tour – Your group will drive along the scenic southern shore via Poipu Beach to Waimea, the site where Captain Cook landed on the islands in 1778 and once the Polynesian Capital of Kauai.
  • Waimea Canyon – Known as the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific,” this is a 3,500-foot deep canyon that provides stunning panoramic views of crested buttes, rugged crags, and deep valley gorges with grand inland vistas go on for miles
  • Spouting Horn – The Poipu surf channels into a natural lava tube here and releases a spout of water up to 50 feet high. You’ll also hear a hiss and an eerie groan that is explained through Hawaiian legend. The Poipu Coastline is also a great vantage point to look for humpback whales or Spinner dolphins.
  • Hawaiian Luau – Tonight you will attend a Hawaiian Luau feast, considered one of the best in the islands. After dinner, sit back and watch a captivating international revue of dancers and musicians.

Day 4

  • Wailua River Cruise  – This morning your group will be treated to a unique adventure cruise up the Wailua River to a lave rock grotto covered with tropical fern.
  • Fern Grotto – The grotto is a natural lava-rock grotto lush with hanging ferns. Once an exclusive destination for Hawaiian royalty, in this serene setting, the grotto acts like a natural amphitheater. Taking advantage of the incredible natural acoustics, visitors are treated to musicians playing beautiful Hawaiian music.
  • Afternoon at the Beach –  Stroll along the beach, relax and sunbathe at the hotel pool, or give snorkeling a try during your free afternoon at the beach.

Day 5

  • The Big Island – Take an early morning flight to Hilo on the island of Hawaii.
  • Hawaii Volcanoes National Park – See Kilauea Crater, rising 4,090 feet above a volcanic wonderland of steaming fire pits, lava tubes, and fern forests.
  • Free Afternoon in Kona – This afternoon you are free to explore the resort town of Kailua-Kona, do a little snorkeling, or a helicopter ride along the Kohala coastline over the famous Parker Ranch and an active volcano.

Day 6

  • Maui – Take an early morning flight to the “Valley Island” of Maui
  • Iao Valley – Towering emerald peaks guard the lush valley floor of Iao Valley, home to one of Maui’s most popular landmarks, the 1200-foot Iao Needle. This iconic rock peak overlooks Iao stream and is an ideal attraction for hiking and sightseeing.
  • Lahaina – Explore the capital of the Hawaiian monarchy that was once a whaling center. You will have plenty of free time to explore this colorful town before heading to your hotel for a free afternoon on the beach.

Day 7

  • Haleakala National Park – This morning is dedicated to visiting the Haleakala National Park, the volcano known to islanders as the “House of the Sun,” and its vast Haleakala Crater. The parkland is located in a setting of stunning natural beauty, ranging from a landscape of cinder cones to dense rain forest.
  • Road to Hana – Take a driving tour along one of the world’s most spectacular scenic drives with its 54 bridges and multiple waterfalls.
  • Evening Flight Home – Sadly it is time to say good-bye to the islands and fly home.
