Daytona Beach
Daytona Beach Spring Break Trips

~ Miles of sandy beaches, exciting nightlife, and popular attractions like the Daytona International Speedway~

We know you’ve heard of it. Daytona Beach is one of the most famous beaches in the world and one of the many beautiful Florida beaches so popular for spring break trips.

Daytona Beach is situated at the intersection of Interstate highways 95 and 4. You’ll find it on the map between Orlando, the space coast (home to Kennedy Space Center) and St. Augustine (the nation’s oldest and most charming city) and about an hour from each. Not that you’ll need any of those diversions – though it’s nice to know they’re nearby – since the oceanfront around Daytona offers twenty-three miles of sandy beaches, freely (and easily) accessible 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Water and area activities include fishing, boating, kayaking, scuba diving and snorkeling. Parasailing is a popular thrill over the ocean, and Daytona Beach offers world-class golf and a variety of sports (including minor league baseball and indoor football)

Of course, Daytona Beach is known for another famous sport as well. The area has been used for motor racing since auto owners at the turn of the twentieth century first made use of its hard, flattened sand. The National Association of Stock Car Auto racing was established there in 1947, and the Daytona International Speedway is this area’s most popular attraction (second, perhaps, to the beach itself).
