While touring the city of Boston your student group may want to see a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway Park. The students can tour the park prior to the game, where they will get a behind-the-scenes look at the ball field and other areas. Visitors can even get a souvenir during the experience. The tour of Fenway Park is one hour in length. During the experience, the guide will discuss the interesting history of the park as you visit various locations. You will walk on the same field where Babe Ruth pitched and also where Ted Williams hit an awesome 502-foot home run. The tour will depart from the Souvenir Shop at the top of the hour. During the experience, students will have the opportunity to touch the Greene Monster, sit in the Greene Monster Seats, and may even get to go inside it behind the scoreboard. Another area included in the tour is the Boston Hall of Fame Wall, where the group will see photographs of the players who have been inducted through the years. Your student group will have the chance to check out the Press Box as part of the tour experience. As a bonus, the students may get to walk around the Warning Track and Pesky’s Pole which was named for a former Red Sox shortstop. The tour may also include an up close look at the bullpens which were built in 1940 so that left-hander Ted Williams could hit more home runs. There are plenty of photo opportunities during the tour.
